Premiere: Más Historias que Contar

Este próximo domingo, 6 de agosto de 2023 a las 4:00 de la tarde el teatro de la Inter Metro se transforma en ¡una gran sala de CINE! con el estreno y proyección del DVD del concierto Más Historias que Contar. Revive cada momento en el que reconocidos músicos de la escena del jazz puertorriqueño se unieron para interpretar diversas piezas originales del destacado bajista y compositor puertorriqueño Samuel “Sammy” Morales.   

Previo a la proyección del DVD, el público disfrutará de un interludio musical que contará con la participación especial de Elisa Torres, arpista principal de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico, quien interpretará el emotivo tema "Pequeño Pintor". En una adaptación para trio, el percusionista Mario Pereira, el guitarrista Juan Aldahondo y el bajista Egui Sierra deleitarán a los presentes con "Rumbita". Ambas piezas son composiciones de Sammy y muestran su variado estilo y exquisito gusto musical.  

El DVD, de 124 minutos, contiene los temas musicales que fueron interpretados en el concierto Más Historias que Contar, el cual fue presentado en agosto del año pasado, en el Teatro de la Universidad Interamericana de PR, Recinto Metropolitano en Cupey. El mismo celebró la trayectoria musical de Sammy Morales y su nueva etapa como compositor. El repertorio incluyó temas originales del disco Historias, Cuentos y Canciones (2012) de SM Quinteto, composiciones aún no grabadas, y estreno de piezas inéditas de Sammy, quien comentó en ese momento: “Algunas de las composiciones que se estrenarán tienen más contenido contrapuntístico, ellas están Crazy Choro, El contorno de tu piel y Días de tráfico, mientras que las otras revelan un contenido armónico más denso, como son After María, Reconstrucción, Mapeyé.”  

Durante el concierto la audiencia disfrutó en un mismo escenario del talento y la amistad de colegas que han sido parte de la formación y desarrollo de Sammy. El variado repertorio fue interpretado por las agrupaciones Sammy Morales Quinteto, Holograma, Ángel D. Mattos Quartet, Egui Sierra Sextet y Cafêzz Quintet. El concierto contó con la participación de Mario Pereira, Eduardo Zayas, , Ricardo Lugo, Juan Aldahondo, Elías Santos Celpa, Joaquín Del Río Rodríguez, Joaquín Del Río Defilló, Luis Raúl Romero, Daniel Rivera, Ricardo Pons, Elvis Terán, Bryan Pérez, Efraín Martínez, Edgar Abraham, Junior Irizarry, William García, Daniel Ramírez Amador, Manuel Rodríguez, Alexis Vázquez Sierra, Félix Rivera Guzmán, Freddie Burgos, Christian Galíndez y Carmen Noemí.   

Sobre la gran cantidad de colegas que interpretaron piezas de su autoría, Sammy nos compartió entusiasmado: “Para mí es un honor que algunos de los músicos y amigos que más admiro interpreten mis composiciones. Entre ellos están Ángel David Mattos, con quien toqué en su disco Preludio; Junior Irizarry, quien ha sido mi mentor; Freddie Burgos, con quien participé en grupo EViF; Egui Sierra, quien grabó y mezcló mi disco; Luis Raúl Romero, uno de los guitarristas y compositores que más admiro; y Efraín Martínez, con quien he colaborado en muchos proyectos de artistas como Wilkins, Jorge Laboy y Débora Brum.” 

El estreno y proyección del DVD de Más Historias que Contar se realizará el domingo, 6 de agosto del 2023 a las 4 de la tarde en el Teatro de la Universidad Interamericana, Recinto Metropolitano; Entrada libre de costo. La canción, que contó con las colaboraciones de los artistas Zule Guerra y Juan José Hernández, estará disponible en todas las plataformas digitales a partir del lunes, 31 de julio

 

SAN JUAN, 28 de julio de 2023 – Con una sabrosa combinación musical que celebra y reconoce la riqueza musical del Caribe, vuelve a la carga el músico y compositor cubano, radicado en Puerto Rico, Fidel Morales.

 

 “¡La Vaina Va!” es el título de su nueva composición, donde explora la creación de la música bailable caribeña, con influencias actuales, y por supuesto, con algo de jazz, género que ejecuta con maestría. Para darle forma a esta creación, el también profesor del Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico invitó a dos grandes amigos y músicos cubanos, la gran intérprete Zule Guerra y el cantautor y director Juan José Hernández. Se unieron a ese equipo, el joven guitarrista dominicano José Castillo y los boricuas William García y William Russell, quienes trabajaron con la mezcla y la masterización del tema.

"Actualmente estoy interesado en explorar en la creación de música bailable caribeña, combinada con influencias actuales y, claro, siempre con algo de jazz —algo así como un regreso a mis inicios en la música. También quiero retomar las colaboraciones con artistas que admiro y aprecio, algo que comencé hace años con mi disco ‘Salsa Son Timba’. Este nuevo tema ‘¡La Vaina Va!’, tiene todo eso y está inspirado en un bello proyecto de unas emprendedoras a quienes admiro, y que saldrá a la luz muy pronto", explicó Fidel Morales.

El galardonado músico agradeció la colaboración de “mi hermano, el gran compositor, vocalista y director Juan José Hernández, quien sacó de su tiempo para poner voz a este tema”, así como la de Zule Guerra, a quien catalogó como “una de mis artistas preferidas en la actualidad”. De igual forma, expresó su agradecimiento profundo a los músicos que sacaron de su tiempo para darle forma a este proyecto sonoro que promete sacudir hasta al más tímido de los bailadores.

 

“Estoy seguro de que el público lo disfrutará tanto como lo disfruté haciéndolo. ¡Es de ustedes!”, expresó el compositor.

Juan José Hernández, por su parte, compartió que: “la canción la interpretó como una reafirmación personal y musical que se antepone a cualquier vicisitud artística e incluso personal, la vaina va porque va…”. De esta manera resumió el espíritu de esta canción que es un llamado a sacudirnos  del marasmo, levantarnos y seguir adelante con lo que nos propongamos.

De la misma forma, la vocalista cubana Zule Guerra expresó que “para mí ha sido un tremendo placer el poder colaborar con mi querido Fidel al que tanto quiero y admiro. Al final, puse un toque de mi estilo para sazonar esa vaina con un poquito de scat. ¡Cuando escuché la mezcla final, no pude evitar ponerme a bailar!”

Toca Miranda” es una producción de Freddie Miranda Jr que contiene 5 temas de salsa y 5 temas instrumentals (Latin Jazz).  Los Hermanos Rodríguez se enorgullecen en anunciar el lanzamiento de su nuevo álbum ‘Reunited’ en vivo desde Jazz at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club de Nueva York. Esta producción será lanzada el 21 de julio del 2023 a través de RodBros Music.

Celebrando el vigésimo aniversario de su primera grabación “Introducing The Rodriguez Brothers” (“presentando a los hermanos Rodríguez”), Rob y Mike Rodríguez. Reunited: Live at Dizzy's Club,  es un nuevo y enérgico álbum grabado en vivo en Jazz at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club en la ciudad de Nueva York, Este álbum se lanzará este próximo 21 de julio del 2023. Producido por RodBros Music, Reunited destaca siete composiciones originales que eligieron de su repertorio. Estas composiciones definen el enfoque dinámico de los hermanos Rodríguez para fusionar las tradiciones folklóricas afro-cubanas, brasileñas y latinas con el jazz contemporáneo. Junto al bajista Ricky Rodríguez, el baterista Adam Cruz y el multi-percusionista Anthony Almonte,  estos acompañan a Rob al piano y Mike en la trompeta, Reunited captura a la perfección la naturaleza efervescente de una agrupación definida por el ingenio, la perseverancia y el amor fraternal.

Rob y Mike Rodríguez, veteranos de la escena del jazz de la ciudad de Nueva York, han colaborado con algunos de los músicos más célebres del jazz, incluidos Roy Haynes, Ray Barretto, Chick Corea, Charlie Haden, Eddie Palmieri, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D'Rivera, David Sánchez, Wynton Marsalis, Joe Locke, Carla Bley, Gonzalo Rubalcaba y Maria Schneider. Centrándose en dar nueva vida a las composiciones que han definido su trabajo en conjunto, el concepto del álbum surgió de la pausa no planificada causada por la pandemia mundial y el deseo resultante de celebrar el aniversario compartiendo la química única de la agrupación con una audiencia en vivo.

Para Mike, esa química proviene de “ser hermanos durante todos estos años y la confianza y maestría musical que cada uno de nosotros aporta al grupo”. Dado el ritual compartido de terminar las oraciones musicales de los demás, Rob está de acuerdo y agrega que "no hay forma de describirlo, pero ciertamente está incrustado en los metadatos de nuestra música". Inmersos en la cultura cubana, entre ritmos que emanan de las tradiciones musicales de boleros, ritmos de cumbia y cha-cha-cha, los hermanos continúan encontrando formas sofisticadas de “fusionar una estética latina con elementos del jazz para estirar y atraer la atención del oyente y ofrecerles un viaje musical.” Inspirados en sus años de formación por el trabajo contemporáneo de Danilo Pérez, David Sánchez, Ed Simon, Chick Corea y Gonzalo Rubalcaba, los hermanos también se apoyan mucho en la música que su padre cubano compartió mientras trabajaba para un sello discográfico con sede en Miami. Como recuerda Rob, “crecimos escuchando a Paquito D’Rivera, Chucho Valdez, Irakere, Arturo Sandoval, las big bands cubanas más antiguas y toda la música folclórica cubana”.

Con una formación clásica en percusión y piano, Rob sigue estando influenciado por los ritmos que su padre baterista ha cultivado a lo largo de su carrera, señalando que "todo viene del ritmo en términos de mi proceso de composición". Para Mike, la trompeta siempre ha sido un vehículo para contar historias líricas: “Quiero mover montañas cuando toco. No con una técnica llamativa, sino con un estilo que conmueve a la gente y toca sus corazones”. Puedes sentir esas montañas balanceándose a medida que Reunited se desarrolla con temas emblemáticos que brindan energía al concierto en vivo del grupo desde Dizzy's.

Titulado por el apodo de su percusivo padre, “Gitmo’s Groove” este tema encuentra a Rob canalizando un ritmo de “songo afrocubano poderoso” compartido durante una jam session entre familia. Los medidores a contra tiempo fluyen "orgánicamente" a medida que la composición explora ingeniosamente el mosaico de influencias que dan forma al sonido característico del grupo. “Guayaquil” rinde homenaje a la patria de su madre de Guayaquil, Ecuador. Experimentando con un ritmo de cumbia de Colombia que sigue siendo popular en Ecuador, Rob compuso la canción basada en los recuerdos de cómo ‘mi mamá bailaba al ritmo de la cumbia en las fiestas y esto me hizo pensar en ella”.

Emocionado por la compra de un panel de control digital iRig, Mike se topó con lo que sería la línea de bajo para la deliciosamente alegre “Impromptu”. Líricamente, la composición se desliza a través de cambios de acordes que Mike elaboró ​​como "elementos de sorpresa", mientras que rítmicamente es impulsada por una "clave especial" amplificada. Funcionando en torno al ritmo omnipresente de la "vibra C7", que prospera en tantas jam sessions, "Descargnation" personifica la naturaleza "Spanglish" de hibridar el arte latino con el jazz. Siempre el artista, Mike utiliza el blues y el cha-cha-cha para "agregar colores" a la composición.

“Love Samba” encuentra a Rob canalizando su Antônio Carlos Jobim interior con todos los armónicos y la elegancia melódica indicativos de esta atesorada tradición musical brasileña. Escrita en las primeras horas de la mañana después de una jam session nocturna, Rob describe "Lulu's Song" (un tributo a su madre) como "una canción que se escribió sola". Esta hermosa balada brinda espacio más que suficiente para los hermosos solos de ambos hermanos. Angular e inquisitiva, "Minor Things" logra el equilibrio perfecto entre honrar la tradición y el ingenio único que Los Hermanos Rodríguez aportan al jazz latino. Terminando con una nota alta, los hermanos usan la sección del montuno para separar creativamente la estructura melódica y rítmica de la canción.

Ya sea que necesites alimento para tu cerebro, pasión para tu alma o simplemente los ritmos correctos para deslizarte hacia la pista de baile, Reunited es un poderoso recordatorio de la inteligencia, el arte y el espíritu rejuvenecedor que los hermanos Rodríguez ponen en cada nota musical que crean.

Guitarrista Puertorriqueño Richard Peña lanza “Jíbaro Steps”, una composición original que une la filosofía musical del icónico saxofonista de jazz John Coltrane con el sabor y ritmo de la música Jíbara. En colaboración con puertorriqueños de la diáspora en Chicago, IL, saxofonista Roy McGrath y cuatrista José Carrasquillo, rompen las barreras de la música tradicional puertorriqueña y conceptualizan un nuevo esquema armónico para interpretar el Aguinaldo Jibaro.

 

Según Richard, “John Coltrane es uno de los saxofonistas más innovadores en la historia del Jazz. Su composición ‘Giant Steps’ es uno de los temas más retantes y académicamente estudiados del genero debido a su complejidad armónica. José nos propuso explorar las posibilidades musicales de incorporar la filosofía de Coltrane en la música puertorriqueña. Roy sugirió que el Aguinaldo Jibaro pudiera lograr el ‘Efecto Coltrane’ si se aplicaba el concepto armónico de una canción de Coltrane titulado ‘26-2’. De aquí, yo diseñé la melodía y armonía para entrelazar ambos géneros musicales, dando nacimiento a ‘Jibaro Steps’ (nombre inspirado en Aguinaldo Jibaro y Giant Steps).”

June 1, 2023 (New York, NY) In the summer of 1961, John Coltrane headlined at the celebrated music venue, the Village Gate. With a lineup of musicians that included McCoy Tyner, Reggie Workman, Elvin Jones, and the fiery playing of Eric Dolphy, Evenings at the Village Gate captures the creative and transformative spirit that sprang from the pairing of Coltrane and Dolphy, and the evolving short-lived quintet.

Recently discovered at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, the recordings on this album—recorded by engineer Rich Alderson as part of a test of the club's new sound system—were seemingly lost, then found, and then disappeared again into the vast sound archives of the Library for the Performing Arts.  The tapes’ circuitous route over several decades seemingly mirrors Coltrane's ongoing musical journey in August of 1961.

Recorded during Coltrane’s month-long Village Gate residency with his quintet (often with a revolving cast of musicians), the album consists of eighty minutes of never-before-heard music. It offers a glimpse into a powerful musical partnership that ended much too soon – Dolphy sadly passed away three years later and this recording is the only live recording of their legendary Village Gate performances. In addition to some well-known Coltrane material (“My Favorite Things,” “Impressions,” and “Greensleeves”), there is a breathtaking feature for Dolphy’s bass clarinet on “When Lights Are Low,” and the only known non-studio recording of Coltrane’s composition “Africa,” that includes bassist Art Davis.

Evenings at the Village Gate showcases the poignant, brief relationship between John Coltrane and Eric Dolphy. Coltrane first met Dolphy in Los Angeles and, when Dolphy moved to New York in 1959, they renewed their friendship. They recognized many of the same analytic and driving qualities in each other. Both came of age at the height of bebop, both were deeply interested in harmony and emotive expression and both employed vocal-like effects and a wide emotional range in their playing. The combination of their signature sounds—Dolphy's distinctively bright, sharply-stated voice set against Coltrane's darker, slurred phrasing—is a unique and evocative feature of their historic run at the Village Gate. 

Accompanying the release are essays from two participants from those evenings at the Village Gate, bassist Reggie Workman and recording engineer Rich Alderson. Additionally, historian Ashley Kahn and jazz luminaries Branford Marsalis and Lakecia Benjamin offer valuable and insightful essays on the recordings.

A few years ago, in the midst of the pandemic, alto saxophonist and MacArthur Fellow Miguel Zenón and acclaimed pianist Luis Perdomo got together to play a few of their favorite tunes during an impromptu duo session. The results were spectacular, and they decided to release the music as an album which earned wide critical acclaim including a place as the #1 Latin Jazz Recording of the Year in the 2021 Jazz Critics Poll. The follow-up to that recording, El Arte Del Bolero Vol. 2, is slated for digital release August 25, 2023 via Miel Music.  

 

The title references the beauty of the Latin-American Songbook and the Bolero in particular. The new album expands on the initial concept while maintaining the intent of playing songs the artists know and love. The process of choosing the repertoire began with the question, “Tu sabes que canción es bien buena?” (“You know which song is really good?”). Discussions about which versions to study, which keys to use, and which arrangements were the most inspirational followed. 

 

Melding their jazz sensibilities with the original spirit of the music, Zenón and Perdomo deliver alluring, forward-thinking performances while keeping the songs center stage. “The Latin-American Songbook is so vast and varied that it naturally lends itself to limitless explorations,” says Zenón in the liner notes. “We purposely looked beyond the Caribbean (exploring composers from México, Venezuela and Panamá, for example) because we wanted to emphasize the point that these songs deserved to be explored and recognized for what they are, beyond labels, categories and regionalisms. Just beautiful music that is a joy to perform and listen to.”

 

About The Music

 

- En La Oscuridad: From the songbook of the great Tito Rodríguez, this song features a unique melody/harmony combo that is always fun to play on. I personally discovered this song while still a very young music student in Puerto Rico, on the album A Dos Tiempos de Un Tiempo, a wonderful Tito Rodríguez tribute by Gilberto Santa Rosa.

 

- Paula C: A modern classic by the great Rubén Blades, first recorded on the 1978 album Louie Ramírez y sus Amigos. The original is faster and more dance-oriented, so we decided to slow it down and expand on the form a bit. It ended up providing the perfect platform for improvisation and musical conversation.

 

- En La Soledad: Another beautiful song from the Tito Rodríguez songbook. We play it here entirely out of time, extending the melodic phrases and harmonic flow. After some collective free-improv over various pedal points, we come back to the theme before closing out the piece.

 

- Motivos: This one was suggested by Luis, a gorgeous melody that he grew up listening to in his native Venezuela. There are many wonderful versions of this song to explore, my personal favorite coming from La Rondalla Venezolana.

 

- Caballo Viejo: A timeless piece of music which has been covered extensively by various artists spanning a wide range of musical genres. It was written by master songwriter Simón Díaz, perhaps the most widely recognized Venezuelan composer of his time. Towards the tail end of this version we introduce elements from the outro to Keith Jarrett’s take of “Moon and Sand,” a piece we both know and love.

 

- Mucho Corazón: Written by Eva Elena Valdelamar, the great Mexican songwriter who penned this when she was still a teenager. We used Benny Moré’s version as one of our main sources of inspiration and experimented with the harmonic progression at different points within the form.

 

- Silencio: An amazing piece of music from the creative mind of Puerto Rican legend Rafael Hernández. We recorded this piece with a larger ensemble on the 2012 album Alma Adentro: The Puerto Rican Songbook and decided to revisit it here. Our version uses the triplet as its main source of rhythmic information and it’s perhaps the most intricate arrangement of all the songs on this album. This is truly a beautiful piece of music and felt like the perfect way to close out the record.

A multiple Grammy® nominee and Guggenheim and MacArthur Fellow, Zenón is one of a select group of musicians who have masterfully balanced and blended the often-contradictory poles of innovation and tradition. Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential saxophonists of his generation, Zenón has also developed a unique voice as a composer and as a conceptualist, concentrating his efforts on perfecting a fine mix between Jazz and his many influences. About Luis Perdomo

Originally from Venezuela, Grammy® nominated pianist, composer, arranger and educator Luis Perdomo moved to NYC in the early 90s and has since established himself as one of the most in-demand musicians on the scene. He has recorded and/or performed with Ravi Coltrane, David Sanchez, Jerry Gonzalez and the Fort Apache Band, Tom Harrell, John Patitucci, Ray Barretto, Brian Lynch, Robin Eubanks, Dave Douglas, David Weiss and The Cookers, David Gilmore, Ralph Irizarry & Timbalaye, Henry Threadgill and Steve Turre. He has collaborated with Miguel Zenón for 20 years. Perdomo has performed at festivals and venues in over 50 countries and has released nine recordings as a leader. He has also appeared on over 200 recordings as a sideman including, most recently, two Grammy nominated albums: Ravi Coltrane’s Spirit Fiction and Miguel Zenón’s Sonero. The work of an artist often suggests that of an alchemist. In her new album, Aire, Mexican singer and composer Magos Herrera transformed the grief, fears, and loneliness of a deadly plague into a luminous collection of songs representing "a celebration of our humanity and the healing power of music."   "We have been dealing with something we didn't see coming and was beyond anything we could've imagined," she says. "But in the process, we found ourselves facing our vulnerability — and, in that, rediscovering our humanity. That's why this album is unique to me. As we come out of the pandemic, we are not only reconnecting with each other but discovering a new world, too, and we need to find a new way to live in it."   Aire (Air) features twelve songs and includes her new compositions, commissioned by Chamber Music America's New Jazz Works, and jewels from the Great Latin American Songbook, such as "Alfonsina y el Mar" and "Gracias a la Vida." Those two classics suggest bookends of the experience in Aire, "Alfonsina …" as an acknowledgment of impermanence and death, "Gracias a la Vida" as a prayer of gratitude for the many gifts of life. Aire will make its New York concert debut in Bryant Park on July 21 at 7pm, part of the Carnegie Hall Citywide series. (free)   But for two exceptions — the voice and guitar duo of "Passarinhadeira" and the octet reading of the Vinicius de Moraes and Baden Powell's classic "Samba em Preludio"—Magos sings over a musical canvas provided by her jazz trio augmented by a 21-piece orchestra under the artistic direction of Eric and Colin Jacobsen, formerly of the string quartet Brooklyn Rider and current Co-Artistic Directors of the Brooklyn-based orchestral collective The Knights. The arrangements in Aire are by three long-time Magos collaborators. While coming from different places, they share an extraordinary fluency in various musical languages and traditions. Venezuelan multi-instrumentalist Gonzalo Grau arranged "The Calling," "Aire," and "Healer;" Brazilian cellist, arranger, and conductor Jaques Morelenbaum elegantly framed "Samba em Preludio," and Argentine pianist and composer Diego Schissi contributed "Choro de Lua," "Papalote," "Remanso," "Alfonsina y el Mar," "Obra Filhia," and "Gracias a la Vida."   "Choro de Lua" and the delightful "Papalote" (Kite), two highlights of the album, are songs by Magos written for her niece and nephew, respectively, and featuring wordless vocals.   "'Choro de Lua' is about this feeling of hope, purity, and innocence," she says." And 'Papalote' is my snapshot of this kid, discovering small things about life in the middle of a pandemic, in the middle of something truly tragic. In such hard times, they reminded me of these spaces of humanity and beauty that connect us with something essential. That's why rather than adding lyrics, I preferred to let melodies and harmonies tell the story."   In Aire (pronounced AY-ray), Magos sings in Spanish, Portuguese, and English and embraces her life as a musician immigrant in New York by opening her work to various musical traditions. Ingrid Jensen, one of the most distinctive, gifted players in contemporary jazz, adds her elegiac tone on trumpet and flugelhorn to "Remanso" and "Gracias a la Vida." Brazilian singer and composer Dori Caymmi contributes his rich voice and uncanny storytelling sense to "Samba em Preludio." "It's fantastic to have Dori in this project. He is part of the great lineage of Brazilian song," says Magos.   And then, there is the anchoring presence of Magos' Mexican roots, even as she addresses universal themes. In "Healer," one of the centerpieces of the album, she not only pays tribute to the late Maria Sabina, a legendary Mexican chamana (shaman) but celebrates "music as a healer, music as a place where we can come together, find our deepest selves and heal."   Immersing the listener in the experience, Magos opens the song with a stunning sampling of Maria Sabina singing at a healing session.   "As a singer, I have a very close relationship with the voice, and the voice is breath, and breath is life," says Magos. "Maria Sabina used to heal with herbs and peyote, but also with the voice. Such is the power of the voice. So when a friend sent me this recording of Maria Sabina singing as she is healing, I felt it would be important to hear her singing in a composition honoring her." Throughout her career, she has engaged in intriguing and diverse musical pursuits, a testament to her talent and flexibility as an artist. Her most recent recordings include a featured appearance on Venezuelan pianist Edward Simon’s Feminina (to be released in June 2023), and collaborations with Paola Prestini (Con Alma, 2020), and the string quartet Brooklyn Rider (Dreamers, 2018). Her discography also includes a jazz album of original songs (Distancia, 2009), a tribute to Mexican composers from the 1930s and 40s (Mexico Azul, 2011), and a collaboration with flamenco producer and guitarist Javier Limón (Dawn, 2014).   Aire "became a way to reach out," says Magos, who wrote much of her music in the album during isolation.
