JONATHAN SUAZO’s Newest album Vital

25 year old Jonathan has been making a name for himself in the Puerto Rico Jazz scene for some years now, reaching noticeable success by playing with Artists like Eddie Gómez (bass), Miguel Zenón (saxophone), David Sánchez (saxophone) and Paoli Majías (percussion). His 2nd album Vital (SuazoJazz Records, 2014) bring diversity to the table “I wanted for every one to take something out of this album.. not just jazz lovers”, said Jonathan in a recent interview. This album is a compilation of 9 original compositions that show the great diversity that Jonathan possesses in his music making process.

“People like Jonathan make me believe that the future of music is in very good hands”. -Miguel Zenón-

Jonathan sets the bar high with this album; he’s joined by great talents from Puerto Rico that complete his powerful quintet: Gabriel Vicéns (guitar), Mario Pereira (drums), Abiud Flores(bass) and Elvis Terán (piano).

He’s also joined by great guests such as Latin Grammy nominee Paoli Mejias (percussion), Jhan Lee Aponteporo (percussion), Andrés “Velcro” Ramos (MC), Patricia Lewis (Voice), Eduardo Zayaz (piano) and Leonardo Osuna (drums).
